Jolly Roger – the insignia on the engine cover of Grumman F-14A Tomcat

Any idea why SEVEN cylinders make sense?
Кто-нибудь знает, чем хороши именно семь (такое странное число) цилиндров у этого двигателя?

"In a radial engine the cylinders are numbered around
the circle, with the #1 cylinder at the top. There are always an odd
number of cylinders in each bank, as this allows for a constant
alternate cylinder firing order: for example, with a single bank of 7
cylinders, the order would be 1-3-5-7-2-4-6. Moreover, unless there is
an odd number of cylinders, the ring cam around the nose of the engine
would be unable to provide the inlet valve open - exhaust valve open
sequence required by the four stroke cycle." ()

    Dough and stuffing
I would enjoy this for sure, but will use beef instead.

No! Beef will make it totally blunt.
I know that many people avoid lamb because they think that bad smell is unavoidable. In fact, it's a great art to be able to pick the right pieces of lamb meat and fat, which will not have bad smell. There is a certain kind of fat that makes food really yummy. However, many cheap eateries just use all the meat - both bad and good. My mother-in-law learned the right technique when she was growing up in Tashkent, and she taught my husband (lucky me!).

Suzanne Delano Parish flew Curtiss P-40N Warhawk in the 70’s and 80’s.
    Fascinating career!

Note that it was a job only during the war.
After the war, the WASP were disbanded. Sue wrote to every aviation company she knew of in search of a job as a pilot. She even approached her uncle, Donald Gilmore, then president of the Upjohn Company, for a job as a pilot. However, at that time, female pilots weren't accepted in the aviation industry.
So after the war it was just a hobby for her.
Note that they have an entire new exhibit about WASP - very informative.
The more info like this I see, the better I understand why US women are so feminist. They did not have many important rights for a long time.

The home of Jim Abrams (the COO of Medline) - next to Ravinia Park in Highland Park
That's Jim Abrams home, the COO of Medline. Its a 30 million dollar home, and the smaller building up the driveway is actually a pool house with a tunnel connecting the two.

Thanks for the comment! It helped me find the following interesting information about the estate:
      I should have checked Wikimapia:

It is interesting that Medline was founded by Wendy Abrams’s (Mr. Abrams’s wife's) great-grandfather a century ago.

Note that Medline owned the Michael Reese Hospital campus, which the City of Chicago bought relatively recently. See my description under the following picture in this folder:
